L. Wayne (42-Charlie) with Cinder and Owen (ODUB) with Kim outdid themselves! The CVMA crew felt right at home. Wayne and Owen opened their doors and homes to all of us and I can't think of one thing that went wrong all weekend, we had great food, the biggest prime rib I have seen in ages, and best of all, all of our brothers and sisters were on hand just chilling and having a great time. We were all business on Sat morning with 42 Charlie's famous hobo breakfast. We again ate well and had a fun time preparing the food. The State meeting started with a call to order followed by the treasurers report given by Noname', we discussed the $1700 raised for TAPS and our plans on sending it to the TAPS organization. We plan on having another TAPS poker run next year and will start planning for it 4 to 6 months prior to the event in order to make sure we have sponsorship (that's where our PR officer 42 Charlie comes in) the BOD will delegate a committee to plan out routes and stops. Next year we also plan on hitting Broadwater for the annual festivities and to honor Viper, 6 Pack will spearhead that. The next CVMA meeting will be on 6 September at VFW 2503 located at 89th and Military, the meeting will start at 330pm sharp Why not bring some ideas for rides, get togethers, dinners, breakfast (you get the idea) to the meeting. |
